Pomerania

Kolberg went to Pomerania only once, in 1875. At that time he was busy collecting the rest of the material to ‘The Grand Duchy of Poznań’. Subsequently, he started to collect material from the northern areas of Poland. Thanks to the hospitality of the families of Donimirski, Sczaniecki, Sierakowski or Mieczkowski, he built up his contacts and had easier access to further places. In only one month he visited, among other places, Toruń, Zakrzewko, Brąchnówko, Nawrę, Bukowo, Gdańsk, Sopot, Waplewo, Pelplin and Łaszewo.
